Controlled substances
Due to federal laws, Dr. Franks is restricted from prescribing controlled substances via virtual appointments. This includes stimulants (e.g. Adderall and Ritalin), benzodiazepenes (e.g. Xanax and Klonopin), and sleep medications (e.g. Ambien and Lunesta). If it is determined that a controlled substance might be clinically indicated, Dr. Franks can provide recommendations and coordinate with your primary care provider regarding the potential use of controlled substances.
clinical services
All services rendered by Dr. Franks are provided on an outpatient basis and require advance appointments using secure telecommunication software. To ensure continuity of care and appropriate treatment, patients who have established a therapeutic relationship with Dr. Franks should have a follow-up appointment at least every three months.
Payment
Dr. Franks is an out-of-network provider and does not directly bill insurance companies. Upon request, patients will be provided with documentation to seek reimbursement from their insurance provider. Dr. Franks does not assume responsibility for the outcome of insurance claims. Payment is preferred at the time of service via credit card and payment details are securely stored by a third-party processor. By providing these details, patients consent for Dr. Franks to charge the payment card after each appointment according to the fees schedule.
Dr. Franks requires 24 hours notice for cancelled sessions. Cancellations and rescheduled sessions will be subject to a full charge if not received at least 24 hours in advance.
